Work experience - 17 years, of which 8 years of teaching. Member of the panel of judges, regional coach, STALEKS expert.

I’ll tell you about the tool of the STALEKS company, which has already managed to win the hearts of many nail stylists. Surely you have already heard about new podological discs (brand name is PODODISC), and someone may even have already bought it.

As you know, even the most straightforward tool has secrets to use.  And in work with pedicure discs, these features abound. Shall we start?

The main task of the STALEKS PRO pododisc is to reduce the processing time of the foot by half, at the lowest cost, without the load for the nail stylist.

Podology discs are made of stainless steel.  Suitable for all devices, in particular, for Strong and Marathon. Due to the shape and lightweight alloy, you can work at high speeds without fear for the safety of the nail drill machine handle.

Important!!! You need to work with podology discs at high speed; otherwise, the result will be minimal.

Sizes of pedology discs

The STALEKS PRO podology discs are available in four sizes. Previously, there were 3 diameter options in the range, now the line has replenished with a new, tiny pododisc with a size of only 10 mm. I propose to consider in more detail:

  • XS – 10 mm

This assistant will cope with any task. Suitable for removing gel polish and processing lateral nail folds, interdigital corns, cracks.

  • S – 15 mm

It very quickly opens cracks, copes with interdigital corns.  It’s an ideal helper for corns removal. With its help, it is easy to shape the free edge and even remove the gel polish.

  • М – 20 mm

It’s the multipurpose size of the podology disc. It should have every nail stylist, very convenient for heels processing.

  • L – 25 mm

Ideal pair with an S-size disc. Significantly reduces the time during foot processing.

Key features of work with STALEKS PRO pododisc

First, we’ll analyze what you can’t do during work with a podology disc:

  1. First of all, it is essential to understand that during the procedure, it is impossible to press hard on the disc and hold the handle of the device perpendicular to the skin.
  2. Do not use the entire surface of the disc. Otherwise, it will spin and heat up, which will adversely affect work.

But how do you need to work?

  1. At the beginning of the work, we prepare discs of the desired diameter to process the feet. It is not always necessary to work in four or three sizes; sometimes, two are enough.
  2. Stik the file in the center of the disc, leaving an edge of steel free. It is essential to stick the removable file in the center of the disc without dislocation!
  3. Insert the disc into the handle and raise it by 1 mm. Reverse for working with discs is not needed.
  4. We work at an angle, from top to bottom or from side to side.
  5. We process the skin with the edge of the disc. The angle can be changed: the smaller the angle, the larger the treated area, and the higher the speed. We process the heel at a small angle, and if you need to treat a crack or callus, the angle of inclination should be more, and the disc will work pointwise.
  6. If you want to process a minimum of surface or spot – keep the pododisc at an angle of 60-70 degrees. And if you need to handle a larger area – 20-25 degrees.

Remember that if the skin becomes very hot during the procedure with pododisc, then the position of the disc is not correct.

The smaller the disc, the higher the speed.

  • For disc size XS – 30,000 rpm;
  • For disc size S – 30,000 rpm;
  • For disc size M – 25,000 rpm;;
  • For disc size L – 20,000 rpm;

Disposable files for the STALEKS PRO pododiscs

Disposable files for podology discs are on sale in packing of 50 pieces. They are made of a waterproof base with a coating of silicon carbide crystals.

Abrasive is the number of crystals per 1 square centimeter. Abrasiveness indicator is the number of grit. The larger the number, the softer the file.

A 80 grit replaceable file is suitable for very rough skin. We work locally, only in roughened areas. Then grinding and polishing are required.

A 100 grit file is an abrasive that is used for the primary processing of medium-rough skin.

A 180 grit abrasive is “grinder,” smooths out all the roughness after coarser removable files.

 240 and 320 grit means that in front of us is a polishing abrasive for giving the skin a perfect gloss.

Work with podology discs

Start with a harder abrasive (80 grit) and a small S disc – for processing corns, cracks, and very rough areas.

If you prefer to work with wet skin, then the treatment of the feet begins after maceration or the keratolytic put in compliance with all standards.

After processing rough areas and hard-to-reach spots, take the M size disc, stick the file with 100 grit abrasive. This disс processes the entire surface of the tarsus and heel.

If the surface to be processed is large, then instead of the disc M-sized , we work with the disc L-sized.

The next step is skin polishing. To do this, take the file of 180 grit abrasive and L-sized disc. At an angle of 10-15 degrees we grind the foot without pressing on the disc.

Using an abrasive file of 240 and 320 grit, we reach the skin to perfection.

Key advantages of STALEKS PRO PODODISC:

  1. First of all is profitability. The cost of podology discs is lower than the sanding band or caps.
  2. The disc cuts off the skin, so there is no need to work according to the pattern of the skin.
  3. The disc can be operated at high speeds so that it reduces the time of the procedure.
  4. The disc can be used on both dry and wet skin.
  5. The STALEKS PRO podology disc can be sterilized at high temperatures.
  6. The disc can be used in tandem with any keratolytic, if necessary.

Also, a pedicure disc can work on dry skin without keratolytic. Also, you can use it on softened skin with various preparations and even after maceration with water. The disc does not loosen the skin but cuts it off.

Imagine that a file for heels works by itself without your efforts. In fact, you only need a device with a capacity of 25,000 rpm and above. It is a multipurpose tool from STALEKS, due to which the processing time of the foot can be halved!
